After much consideration BCS has decided to work together with the Salvation Army Family Resource Centre which is a temporary shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
They provide:
- Different groups and programs for women and children
- A 24 hour crisis support and referral telephone line
- Individual counselling for all residents
- Accommodation search assistance
- All immediate necessities for life
- Access to services in different languages with cultural interpreters.
They strive to be inclusive and provide equal treatment for everyone accessing their services while being sensitive to issues related to race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and/or abilities of individuals.
BCS will continue to raise funds for the Women’s Shelter. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
