Every January I’m asked, “What’s new—and what’s worth it?” Trends come and go. What lasts is care that fits real life, respects your anatomy, and gives your skin time to respond. Here’s how I see 2026 shaping up in clinic.
1) Regenerative, used thoughtfully
You’ll hear more about growth-factor and platelet-based approaches (including PRF-style care) to support skin quality and recovery. These can pair well with procedures when they’re right for the person and timing. We discuss pros, limits, and the plan before we do anything.
2) Subtle injectables over “more”
The pendulum has swung to natural contour and skin-quality “boosters”—not overfilling. The goal is balance, expression, and proportion. Placement, dose, and cadence are individualized after assessment. Less can be more when it’s precise.
3) Advanced skin rejuvenation with smarter energy
Hybrid laser systems, fractional RF microneedling, and energy-based tightening (RF or ultrasound) continue to improve. The key is matching settings and spacing to your skin type and schedule, especially for deeper skin tones where parameters matter.
4) Body contouring 3.0
Combination plans—fat reduction plus tightening—are becoming the norm, with low downtime when sequenced well. Expect fewer “one-device fixes” and more customized protocols over several visits.
5) Hair & scalp health
Platelet-based options and structured scalp programs are gaining traction, often as part of a broader plan that includes routine and stress management. Consistency beats dabbling.
6) Barrier-first dermatologic care
A calm barrier is the foundation. We build routines that your skin will tolerate daily, then layer intensity. This is what makes in-clinic work safer and more predictable.
7) Planning and tracking beat guesswork
Year-long skin calendars, simple AM/PM checklists, and photo standards (lighting, distance) make progress honest. Many patients like a 90-day review to confirm we’re on track.
8) Inclusive protocols by design
Good medicine is inclusive by default. That means parameter choices and peel strengths that respect all skin tones, plus realistic timelines and recovery buffers for work, family, and travel.
9) Post-weight-change care
With more medical weight programs in the mix, we’re planning for skin laxity, contour maintenance, and healthy habits that support results over time.
10) Recovery & lymphatic support
Thoughtful post-op care—including lymphatic drainage when appropriate—can help comfort and mobility. We stage this around healing and clear surgeon guidance.
What to expect at a consult with me
- Assessment first. We map goals, health history, timing, and budget.
- A simple plan. Cadence for facials/peels, maintenance windows for injectables if you choose them, and a routine you’ll keep.
- Clear recovery. Event buffers, travel timing, and when to review.
- No pressure. You should leave understanding your options, not feeling sold.
A note on safety and language
We use generic terms publicly (e.g., “neuromodulator,” “dermal filler,” “energy-based tightening,” “platelet-based care”). Treatment choices are always finalized after a medical assessment, and individual results vary.
